Team K Behavioral Healthcare Services Program Model
Team K Behavioral Healthcare Services believes that one of the most common problems facing individuals with chronic and persistent psychiatric disabilities are: difficulties managing everyday activities, stigma, social determinants, systemic racism, inadequate or inaccessible mental health services, unemployment, poor quality of housing, and lack of social or culturally sensitive and leisure activities. Team K Behavioral Healthcare Services believes that a combination of psychotherapy and medication management is insufficient for the restoration of our clients to a higher level of functioning in the community. Therefore, the addition of recovery-oriented psychosocial intervention that is targeted, individualized, and flexible should be a key component of treatment for individuals with emotional disabilities to be successful in society.
To accomplish this mission, Team K Behavioral Healthcare Services Health will develop psychosocial services that focus on symptom reductions, prevention, or mitigation of relapses, and optimizing the individual’s performance in a social setting, vocational, education, and interpersonal interactions with family members or care providers. Team K Behavioral Healthcare Services will ensure that psychosocial interventions are age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and linked to each individual’s phase of treatment in collaboration with the treating mental health professional, psychiatrist, and family members.
